NNPC, NAOC, and OANDO Scholarship for Undergraduates 2023

 

Application for NNPC, NAOC and OANDO  Scholarship for Undergraduates, 2023 is ongoing!

In accordance with its Corporate Social Responsibility, the NNPC/NAOC/OANDO Joint Venture welcomes adequately qualified students to apply for its 2023 Tertiary Scholarship for Undergraduates, which will run from June 3 to July 8, 2023.

Category of Awards

  • Host/Transit Communities Merit Award – For applicants strictly from NAOC Host/Transit Communities.
  • National Merit Award – For applicants from Non-Host/Transit communities.

Scholarship Requirements:

To be considered for the NNPC/NAOC/OANDO scholarship for Undergraduates 2023, you must:

  • Be registered Full TIME undergraduates in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions.
  • Be certified 100 level students at the time of application (Only students admitted in 2021/2023 academic session can apply).

The following categories of students should not apply:

  • 200 level students and above.
  • Current beneficiaries of similar Awards from other Companies and Agencies.
  • Dependents of NAOC/NAE/AENR/NACPFA.

Note the following:

  • Only Indigenes of NAOC Host/Transit Communities in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta and Imo States should apply for the Host Communities Merit Award.
  • Only applicants studying Engineering, Geology, Geosciences and Agricultural Science are eligible for the National Merit Award.

Scholarship Duration and Reward

The Scholarship is a fully paid award for students at tertiary institutions for the duration of their studies.

Required Documents

To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;

  • Passport photograph with white background not more than 3 months old (not more than 200kb).
  • School ID Card
  • O’level Certificate
  • Admission Letter
  • Birth Certificate
  • Proof of Local Government Area of Origin
  • Letter from Community Paramount Ruler (Only Applicants for Host Communities Merit Award)
  • Letter from CDC Chairman (Only Applicants for Host Communities Merit Award)
  • JAMB Result

How to Create an Account

  • Visit the relevant portal
  • Click on Register to create an account
  • Activate your account via your email
  • Return to www.scholastica.ng to complete your user profile.
  • Ensure you click 2021/2023 NNPC, NAOC, and OANDO JV Tertiary Scholarship to open scholarship page.
  • Then click “Apply” in the top right hand corner of your screen to apply.

How to Apply for NNPC, NAOC, and OANDO Scholarship for Undergraduates 2023

To apply, follow the steps below:

1. Click on “Apply Now” tab.

2. Click on “Register Now” to create an account.

3. Proceed to your email box to activate your account.

4. Click on the Application Portal to return to Scholarship site.

5. After that, enter your registered email and password to upload your information.

6. Then, enter your personal information, National Identification Number (if available), educational information, other information and upload required scanned documents.

7. Ensure the name used in application matches the names on all documentation in same order. Upload a sworn affidavit or certificate if otherwise.

8. Ensure you view all documents after uploading, to eliminate errors during uploading.

9. When asked to upload photo, a passport photograph with a white background is preferable.

10. Recheck application information to avoid errors.

11. Click “Apply Now” to submit information.

12. You will receive an email and a SMS that confirms your application was successful.

13. Return to Application Portal, enter your Email and Password to download your profile and proceed to have your Head of Department sign the document.

14. Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile, this would be used for verification.

15. If National Identification Number (NIN) number was not available in step 6, to obtain your National Identification Number (NIN):

  • Visit NIN Portal to register and learn more about the National Identity Number
  • Click “Create Account” and fill in the required form
  • Login with Email and Password to complete the form
  • After completion, schedule a date for photo and finger print capture
  • Visit any of the capture centers here to complete the registration process and obtain your National Identity Number.
  • You can also do your total registration at the NIMC office.

16. Return to Application Portal and update application with National Identification Number (NIN) to ensure completion.

Moreover, multiple applications attract a disqualification penalty from the Scholarship board.

Above all, note that obtaining NIN is not compulsory in order to complete your application.

Precautions to be taken while Applying.

  • Name the documents according to what they represent to avoid mixing up documents during upload.
  • Attach the appropriate documents when asked to upload.
  • Provide valid Email and Phone Contact for effective communication.

Method of Selection

The examination date will be communicated to shortlisted candidates only. NAOC reserves the right for selection and shortlisting of candidates.

NOTE:

  • The aptitude exam will be held either online (remotely) or at one of the specified centers that will be announced to those who have been shortlisted.
  • Applicants must specify whether they want to take the test online at their leisure or at one of the specified test centers when submitting their application (cost of transportation to the centers to be borne by applicants).
  • Application for NAOC Tertiary Scholarship is FREE.
  • When applying for the NAOC Tertiary Scholarship online, be wary of bogus websites. During the application process, such websites may require you to pay a fee.
  • Applications must not be made through E-mail.
  • NAOC does not appoint representatives or agents to help candidates in the application process.
  • At any stage of the scholarship process, any candidate found to have supplied fake documents will be disqualified or withdrawn.
  • Only those who have been shortlisted will be invited to take the proctored computer-based test online or at one of the designated testing centers.
