Admission Requirements

General prerequisites for entrance (exact requirements may vary from course to course).

Postgraduate Studies:

CGPA of 5.5 or above or at least 55% of undergraduate coursework required for postgraduate study (on a scale of 10). IELTS: 6.0 with a minimum score of 6.0 in the writing module and 6.0 overall (or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score).

Undergraduate Courses:

All India Senior School Certificate (CBSE) or Indian School Certificate (CISCE) with an average of 70% Higher Secondary Certificate (State Board) with an average of 70%. Undergraduate Courses (after 12th). IELTS: 6.0 with a minimum score of 6.0 in the writing module and 6.0 overall (or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score).

MBA Program:

Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of post-graduation work experience (excluding any summer internships, part-time jobs, or temporary work experience). IELTS: 6.5 with no less than 6.5 in the writing module and 6.0 in the others (or equivalent TOEFL or PTE score).

Our masters involves a well formulated combination of coursework and an up to date curriculum featuring lectures and classes, assignments, and individual research. Some are more coursework-focused and others, more research-led.

With our, Master’s by research, we offer you an opportunity for independent study by research which saves you from the constraints of attending timetabled lectures.

In addition, we assign our Students to supervisors to present an original piece of research in the form of a thesis.

Victoria University of Wellington Scholarships

Application for the 2022 Tongarewa Scholarships for international students willing to study in the New Zealand is ongoing.

The scholarship aims to promote excellence, hard work and innovation amongst qualified International students.

Scholarship Award and Duration

The Scholarships award is $10,000  which is intended to cover tuition fees for first year of undergraduate and postgraduate study.

In addition, all successful applicants will receive free accommodation in one of the university’s Halls of Residence.

Eligibility Requirements for the Scholarship

  • Applicants from all countries of the world can apply.
  • Applicants must be international students who are paying full international fees.
  • Applicants must be entering their first year of an undergraduate degree or entering a postgraduate degree in New Zealand.
  • Applicants must  submit a personal statement of about 500 words  explaining why you want to study at Victoria University of Wellington. You must show your academic goals, leadership positions, contributions to your community and why you deserve the award.
