American University Scholarships

A limited number of partial merit scholarships are awarded by the American University (AU) to academically-qualified incoming international first-year undergraduate students. It is a need-based financial aid made available to international students. The sum of between U.S.$6,000 to U.S.$25,000 per academic year is given to the beneficiaries

Amherst College Scholarships

As it stands, Amherst College has a need-based financial aid program that assists international students with financial needs. Your financial need is determined upon admission and you are given financial aid that corresponds with your need. Occasionally, the award is called an “aid package” because it may involve both self-help (employment) and gift aid (scholarships and grants).

Berea College Scholarships

The only school in the United States that offers 100% funding to 100% of enrolled international students for the first year of the enrollment is Berea College. The costs of tuition, room, board and fees are covered in this combination of financial aid and scholarship.  In the coming years, to contribute toward their expenses, international students are required to save $1,000 (US) per year. Clark University Scholarships

First-year applicants (not transfer students) that attended the school overseas for at least four years are open to the Clark Global Scholars Program offered by Clark University as well as international scholars studying in the United States. A scholarship of between $15,000 to $25,000 yearly (for 48 months, contingent upon meeting academic standards for renewal) including a guaranteed $2,500 taxable allowance for a paid internship or research assistantship taken for academic credit during the summer following your second year or junior year is included with the award.

Colby-Sawyer College Scholarships

A merit-based financial aid offered by Colby-Sawyer College is available for international students. The value of the scholarship varies depending on academic ability (measured in GPA) and ranges from $15,000 up to $28,000 per year. This is not a full scholarship.

Columbia College Scholarships

Outstanding international students are awarded scholarships at Columbia College. The awards which are one-time could be a 15%- 100% tuition reduction or cash grants.

Concordia College Scholarships

Partial financial assistance is given to international students based on the contributions they make on campus via the Concordia College Scholarships. The Scholarship is judged based on academic ability and family need, amounting to up to $28,000 per annum. International Excellence Scholarships are competitive, performance-based scholarships that are given to international freshmen students or transfer students for up to four years and can go as high as $28,000.

Dartmouth College Scholarships

All the demonstrated needs of admitted undergraduates are met by Dartmouth College, including those from other countries. Scholarships and loans are available to international students at Dartmouth College, which also involves an expense for travel to the U.S.

East Tennessee State University

New international students seeking a graduate or undergraduate degree are offered the International Students Academic Merit Scholarship at East Tennessee State University (ETSU). The value of the scholarship is $12,500 per academic year for undergraduate students and for Graduate students, it is $11,500.

East West Center 

MSc and Ph.D. students from Asia, the Pacific, and the U.S. are offered funding for up to 24 months for Master’s or Doctoral degree study by the East-West Center Graduate Degree Fellowship to partake in the educational, residential, and leadership development programs at the East-West Center while studying for a Master’s or Doctoral degree study at the University of Hawai’i.

Emory College Scholarships

Need-based financial aid is awarded to a select group of international students each year by Emory College. International applicants are also gingered to apply for partial to full merit-based scholarships through the Emory University Scholars Program (November 15 deadline).

Illinois Wesleyan University Scholarships

International applicants with outstanding academic achievement and test scores on the required entrance exams are offered a merit-based scholarship. The value of the awards varies from $16,000 to $30,000 per year and are renewable for up to four years. Two full-tuition President’s International Student Scholarships may be offered yearly to qualified international students for up to four years of study.

Iowa State University International Merit Scholarships

A number of merit scholarships will be considered for International freshmen. The selection process for the scholarships is competitive and based on a holistic review of SAT or ACT scores and high school marks/grades.  The value varies from $2,000 to $10,000 and are renewable.

Michigan State University International Scholarships

Deserving international students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels will receive scholarships and grants from Michigan University. The financial aid is not intended to support the full academic program at MSU.

New York University Wagner Scholarships

A limited number of admitted students including international students every year are offered scholarships based on merit. The scholarships can be partial to full tuition varying from $25,000-$47,000.

Oregon University Scholarships

The University awards over one million dollars in financial aid and scholarships to international students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels yearly. Wesleyan University Scholarships

Exceptional qualifications and demonstrated needs are the basis for extremely competitive and limited financial aid to foreign students. The Freeman Asian Scholars Program offers full-tuition scholarships for a four-year course of study at Wesleyan toward an undergraduate degree for 11 exceptionally able Asian students. The University is expected to offer financial aid to approximately 30 foreign students from a pool of approximately 600 such applicants in addition to the 11 Freeman Asian Scholars

University of the West Scholarships

The President’s and Dean’s scholarships are offered to new international students who achieve high academic standards and demonstrate a financial need by the University of the West. The full cost of tuition would be waived for beneficiaries (7.5-15 undergraduate or 6-12 graduate units per semester).

Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarships

Students from World Bank member countries are offered full scholarships via the Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program to pursue development-related studies at selected Universities around the world. AAUW International Fellowships

Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship Programme

Each year a limited number of scholarships for postgraduate studies by the Aga Khan Foundation are given to outstanding students from selected developing countries who have no other means of financing their studies. The studies can be done from wherever globally including the US. The financial aid award is on a 50% grant: 50% loan basis through a competitive application process once a year.
