The Honourable Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, has announced that interested and qualified Nigerians can apply to participate in the 2022/2023 Nomination computer Based Test (CBT) for the Federal Government Scholarship Awards.

It is important to note that this scholarship covers for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

Eligibility For FG 2022 Scholarship To Study Overseas

• Applicants for undergraduate degree courses must possess a minimum qualification of Five (7) Distinctions (As & Bs) in the Senior Secondary School Certificates, WASSCE/WAEC (May/June) only in the subjects relevant to their fields of study including English Language and Mathematics.
• Certificates should not be more than two (2) years old (2020 & 2021) for Non-African Countries and for African countries the age of certificate is one year (2021) only. The age limit is from 17 to 20 years.
• All applicants for Postgraduate degree courses must hold a First Degree with 1st Class or at least 2nd Class Upper Division.
• All applicants must have completed N.Y.S.C. Programme and the age limit is 35 years for Masters and 40 years for Ph.D. N.Y.S.C discharge or exemption certificates only are accepted; and Evidence of readiness to be released by an employer.

Number 2: NNPC And SNEPCo Scholarship 2022/2023

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in partnership with Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo) and its co-venture partners is currently calling on interested Nigerians who are seeking to study for a degree program in Nigeria to apply for a scholarship.

NNPC And SNEPCo offers yearly scholarship to all successfully shortlisted applicants.

The scholarship is expected to run from their second year of study till the completion of their undergraduate program.

Eligibility For NNPC And SNEPCo Scholarship For Nigerian Students

• You must be Nigerian citizen.
• You must be in your second year of full-time study in a Nigerian Federal or State University accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
• You must have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 in a 5-grade system.

Number 3: ASUU Scholarship For Undergraduates 2022/2023

The Academic Staff Union Of Universities (ASUU) has announced that the form for 2022 Scholarship Awards is now out.

Therefore, interested undergraduates can apply and take advantage of this opportunity to secure financial grants for themselves in pursuit of a degree.

Eligibility For ASUU Undergraduate Scholarship 2022

• The applicant must be indigent.
• The applicant must be a student of a university with a recognized ASUU Branch.
• The applicant must be in their second year of study or above.
• An Applicant must have at least 5 O’ level credit passes (English and Mathematics inclusive) at one sitting.
• Applicants must not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship award.

Requirements

Applicant must have a good academic performance with at least a CGPA of 3.0.

Value Of Award

The Scholarship award is one hundred thousand naira only (N100,000) per successful applicant.

All beneficiaries will be awarded on the 12th November 2022 (HEROES DAY) on a one-off basis.

How To Apply For ASUU Scholarship For Undergraduates

An applicant must submit an application letter, not more than two(2) pages which must include the following details:

• Name of candidates
• Course & Year of Study
• State of origin

An application Letter Must be accompanied by the following:

• A photocopy of the applicant’s current identity card.
• A letter from the candidate’s current head of department including current information on the candidate’s CGPA for the preceding academic session.
• A copy of the candidate’s registration form for the current semester.
• Two (2) current passport photographs( passports in white background are most preferred).

Deadline For ASUU Scholarship 2022

All ASUU Branches are expected to complete the Zonal selection of beneficiaries.

The names of the awardees from different branches are to be forwarded to the headquarters before the 30th September 2022.

Any branch of ASUU that neglects to field in beneficiaries within the timeline shall be left out from the award for the year 2022.

Number 4: Stanbic IBTC Scholarship For Nigerian Students 2022/2023

Stanbic IBTC Holdings, usually referred to as Stanbic IBTC, as part of its corporate social responsibility calls on interested Nigerian students to apply and be part of its scholarship programme for 2022/2023.

This scholarship is targeted at students who just sat for their Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and have gained admission into any Nigerian state or federal university.

A total of 100 Nigerian youths will benefit from this scholarship which will last for a duration of four academic years.

Eligibility For Stanbic IBTC Scholarship For Nigerian Students 2022/2023

• You must have at least 5 O’ level credit passes (English and Mathematics inclusive) at one sitting.
• You must reside in Nigeria and participated in the 2021 University Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
• You must score at least 250 in JAMB
• You must have gained admission and have been fully registered in a Nigerian Federal or State University.

Value Of Award

The scholarship guarantees the payment of the rate of fees in Full, for a total period of Four (4) years from the day of acceptance, notwithstanding the length of the degree programme.

The Stanbic IBTC Scholarship grant shall be paid at the beginning of every academic year subject to the terms and conditions contained herein.

Number 5: MTN Foundation Scholarship 2022/2023

The MTN Foundation offers yearly scholarship  to about 500 Nigerian undergraduates studying science related courses.

The aim of this scholarship is to encourage students studying technology related courses in Nigeria.

The scholarship intends to take care of the tuition, textbook allowance and stipends of successful applicants.

Therefore qualified and eligible persons are invited to take advantage of this scholarship platform.

Eligibility For MTN Foundation Scholarship 2022/2023

• An Applicant Must Be a Nigerian Student.
• An Applicant Must Be Proficient In English Language.
• An Applicant must be a 3rd-year student from Public Tertiary Institutions with 3.5 CGPA or its equivalent Second Class Upper HND Students with a minimum of 3.0GPA (Upper credit) at their OND Programme.
• Scholarships will be renewed for the existing students who have maintained a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 or its equivalent (second class upper/upper credit).
• Blind students studying any discipline in their 2nd and 3rd year, with a minimum CCPA of 2.5 or its equivalent, are open to apply for the SBSS.
• Applicants must be eligible 300 level students studying Science & Technology related courses and blind students studying in Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education) across Nigeria.
